Colour effects our moods, emotions and behaviour. When two different colours are paired together they create a different effect that a singular colour. For example the colour red has connotations of passion, violence and anger however, when paired with green it becomes reminiscent of Christmas a particularly peaceful holiday. 


Primary Colours:

Red - Passion, anger

Blue - blue, stillness

Yellow - fresh, sunshine, happiness

Secondary Colours: 

Green - yellow & blue - calm, clean

Orange - red & yellow -

Tertiary Colours:
These colours are hues of two different colours blended together and so result in an inability to distinguish the hue into a specific colour. Due to this inability to sort them into neat colours they are typically less pigmented than primary or secondary colours.

Analogous/ Harmonious colours:
These are colours that are side by side on the colour wheel and so share a hue in common, this makes these colours comparable with each other due to their similarity.
